Last Museum

So yesterday was our last busy (ish) tourist day.  We didn't really have much to do so we began with a nice coffee at the Athens Centre.  I took some pictures of the place while we were there.

Then we began the (long) walk to the National Archaeological Museum.  We had been there a few times before with class but we had a feeling that we weren't seeing the whole museum.  We were right.

There was still some of the things we have seen before but there was an overwhelmingly amount more to see.

Including a new exhibit on an ancient shipwreck that they discovered - Antikythera.  That was definitely a highlight for me.  It was so interesting to see the way that marble breaks down over a period of time in the sea.

After the museum we wandered over to the Plaka for our last purchases.  We then made our way back to our area, relaxed, ate and began to pack :-(  Today we are just doing basically nothing.  I want to find that hot chocolate place.  We have to straighten up a little bit before we leave the apartment.  But mostly, we are just enjoying our last day in Greece - until we return of course.
