Stress Free Day

Yesterday literally felt like the first stress free day.  No traveling, no stress about the race... just a nice day in Athens.  Tyler and I decided to part in the morning and afternoon.  I went shopping and searching for some stores.  I first attempted to find this hot chocolate place.  But I failed.  I will try again tomorrow.  Then after some more shopping I went the search again.  I bought a bag two years ago that I love.  I purchased it in the workshop below the stores.  Yesterday I finally found the workshop but it was closed.  I went in the store above it and they told me that he had retired but often comes to visit for coffee. After I was finished, I got some lunch and headed home for a siesta in the sun.  I took a couple photos on the walk home.

Tyler started his day at the Kerameikos site and museum in Athens.  It is an ancient cemetery.  He says it was "very nice" and he had a "lovely time".  He did get some nice pictures.

After that he did some shopping himself.  Shortly after I got home, he joined me.  We relaxed a bit and got something to eat.  In the evening we went to the local cafe - used to be the Lucky Charm, now called Clik.

We came back and watched a movie :-)  Today we plan to tackle a lot of our climbing - the Acropolis and Lakavittos.  Both are the highest points in Athens with the best views.  Between that we plan to go to the Acropolis museum.

  1. Wasn't the hot chocolate place like off of a main shopping street. I remember walking down a hall off the street and there were a few shops next to it. If you find it, take a picture of the large painting on the wall for me. I always think about that painting. It's like of a woman or something. Love you!!!!
